On Sunday October 27 at 4:00 p.m., the Choral Fellows of the Harvard University Choir will present a selection of the sacred music of Henry Purcell, in collaboration with members of the Harvard Baroque Chamber Orchestra. Considered one of the greatest of all English composers, Henry Purcell was born just a few months before the end of Cromwell’s puritan rule and the restoration of the monarchy, which ushered in a golden age for the arts in England. The concert will feature Purcell's symphony anthems O Sing unto the Lord, and Rejoice in the Lord Alway, as well as a cross-section of his other church music.
